Which are the most suitable places to have a wooden house in India?

Indian climate is as diverse as it is mercurial. It can shift from sunny to cloudy to a ravaging storm in a matter of minutes. Which raises the question of whether it’s advisable to build a wooden house here. And where?

The answer lies in taking a few elements from ‘Tropical Modernism’ and using them in our favor. It is the style of architecture that emulates the minimalistic aesthetic of modern architecture while responding to the climatic and environmental conditions of the tropics.

Pod Project builds lightweight but sturdy a-frame roofs with a ventilation system that encourages cross breezing to keep the interiors cool even during the hot summer months.

Wood doesn’t allow heat to escape from the house during winters and at the same time doesn’t let heat enter inside during the summers, which, again makes a wooden house the ideal place to live, no matter which part of India you are considering to build one in.
