How fireproof is your Pod House?

Your wooden house can handle more than it lets up, believe us! And when it comes to keeping you and your loved ones safe from any fire-related mishaps, you can rest assured it won’t give in without putting up a fight for you.

No building is completely fireproof. But with the extensive refining and binding process that the glulam beams (one of the primary building materials we use) go through, it’s safe to say that it will perform exceptionally well in fire.

We use high-density timber as raw material for all our constructions due to its high resistance to ignition and a relatively slower charring rate. It takes a good part of 12 minutes for just an inch of a beam to get charred, which is a testament to its strength that will act as a buffer, resist deformation of the structure and thus allow you to escape and firefighters to put out fires without the risk of collapse.
